Angels Camp, CA...Joanne Marie Whittle died of natural causes on Sunday, Januarry 27, 2008, at her home in Angels Camp. She was 73. A native of Angels Camp, Mrs. Whittle was born November 3rd, 1934. She attended Altaville Grammar School and graduated from Bret Harte High School in 1952. She went on to graduate from Heald Business College....

Don’t miss the electrifying dancers of San Francisco’s “Theatre Flamenco”, accompanied by a brilliant line-up of musicians and singers when the curtain rises at 3:00 pm in the Bret Harte Theatre, 323 Highway 49. The performance is part of the Calaveras Arts Council’s “Ovations” Performing Arts Series which has already thrilled local audiences with two prior concerts in January....
