Angels Camp, CA...Last week the Bret Harte High School video production class under the tutelage of Verne Johnson has finished up their first news broadcast. The first segment covers changes that have been made to the Quad. It is really great to see the kids produce high quality news segments such as this. We hope to see many great additional segments in the future...

Angels Camp, CA...With the Ribbon Cutting it is now official. Golden State Cellular is now open and serving customers in their new larger Angels Camp location. Their new location is right next to Middleton's in The Mark Twain Center. Golden State Cellular's General Manager Dan Rule, Marketing Director Darrell Slocum and many other Golden State Cellular staff were joined by a nice contingent of local business people to welcome them to their new location. This location will provide much easier access and parking. It also provides plenty of room for future expansion...

New Planning Commissioner Appointment Put on Hold Until March 4th |

| Angels Camp, CA...The new Planning Commissioner for Angels Camp appointment has been postponed until the March 4th Angels Camp City Council meeting. It was originally scheduled for tonights meeting but apparently both applicants were out of town. We will keep you posted as we know more. |

Angels Camp, C.A….Although most agreed that young people in the Angels Camp and surrounding areas would like more job opportunities “and things to do,” the teens interviewed for this article had mixed reactions when asked if they wanted a Wal-Mart in the city….

Angels Camp City Council to Meet Tuesday Eve at The Bret Harte Theater |

| Angels Camp, CA...The Angels Camp City Council will meet on Tuesday February 19th at the Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp. They will start the meeting with Planning Commission interviews at 5:30pm then move to their regular meeting at 6pm. The Mark Twain Elementary School students will be reading their "Kindness Hero" essays; There will be an Appeal on a Tentative Parcel Map; The Council will approve Proposition 1B for local streets and roads funding plan; They will also be appointing the new Planning Commissioner. There are two applicants: Bob Menary and Henry Petithomme. Mr. Menary has lived in Angels camp for 2 years. Mr. Petithomme grew up in Angels Camp.
