Angels Camp, CA...Tickets are now available for Studio 4 Dance Theater’s upcoming production of “The Nutcracker” at the Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp. Performances are 6pm, Thursday, December 15; 6pm, Friday, December 16; and 1pm and 6pm, Saturday, December 17. Tickets are only $7 for children and $15 for adults and audiences are encouraged to purchase tickets early to this popular holiday classic...

Bear Valley - Angels Camp, CA...At this informative event, participants will learn whats new at Bear Valley for the 2011/12 season. In addition this is an opportunity to learn about the 2011/12 Team Programs. The Winter Preview is geared towards local Calaveras businesses and the Team’s Meeting (Immediately following) is for local parents to learn about the team programs. We will serve light appetizers and wine. Kids are welcomed at Greenhorn, but there are no planned activities for kids during the event....

Angels Camp, CA...Leonard T. Baxter, born November 16, 1939, passed away November 7, 2011 at his residence in Angels Camp, CA. Before retiring Leonard was a bank manager for 25 years. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Baxter of Angels Camp, CA, and his sister Mary (Robert) McFetridge of Lake Forest, CA. Leonard was preceded in death by his daughter Jodi Anne Baxter in 1982....

Angels Camp, CA...The beautiful Angels 6 Theatre has the movie "Courageous" as their independent film this week. It is an inspiring, sobering look at fatherhood and what it means to be a Dad and husband in today's world. It might make a few of us wince when we look in the mirror. But it may be what we need. Most of the men reading this know we can be more than what we are. It is a call to arms to take your fatherhood to another level. It will be playing tomorrow night as well at 7pm. Don't miss it...
