Angels Camp Man Arrested on Texas Stolen Vehicle and other Charges

Angels Camp, CA...On February 11, 2012, Angels Camp Police Officers made a traffic enforcement stop in the 300 block of S. Main St., on a vehicle driven by Randy J Aitken, 25 of Angels Camp. Aitken was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended California driver license. The investigation led to the discovery of a reported stolen vehicle parked at Aitken’s residence, which was reported stolen by the Kyle, Texas Police Department. Additional investigation led to the recovery of illegal narcotics, firearms and live ammunition....

Arnold, CA...2/7/12, Hazel Fischer Mustangs, vs, the Michelson Trojans. OK readers, I have taken a few days to mull this one over. San Andreas, CA...Calaveras County public health officials have reported that Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) has been identified in students at a local elementary school. Eight cases of HFMD have been reported at Jenny Lind Elementary School. HFMD is a viral disease that causes fever, skin rash, and red spots or sores in the mouth. Infants and children under 10 years old are usually affected, but youth and adults can also become sick. HFMD is not related to foot and mouth disease, which occurs in livestock....

Angels Camp, CA...February 9, 20112...Bret Harte High School Boys Basketball program seems to be onto something as both the JV and Varsity Bullfrogs swallowed up the Buffaloes last night in Angels Camp. The Junior Varsity Bullfrogs held nothing back, as a foul-laden slugfest with Amador had the crowd tipping back and forth on their bleacher seats through to the end. Nothing was certain except the whistles blowing as a hotly contested game went into the final quarter...Bret Harte put on the push with a powerhouse drive in the final minutes to win it, but the Amador JV team gave it all they had....
