AAA Angels Camp Donates $5,000 to Calaveras County Search & Rescue |

Angels Camp, CA...On May 1st it was announced that the AAA Angels Camp Office led by the community minded Jim Bailey have donated $5,000, yes that's right $5,000 to Calaveras County Search and Rescue. This will provide a great boost to our local efforts to effectively and efficiently located and rescue those who become lost while enjoying our great area....

Studio 4 Dance's Spring Showcase Danced Before Sold Out Crowds |

Angels Camp, CA...Another Ballet Classic Came to Calaveras as Studio 4 Dance Theater Spring Showcase Featuring “Sleeping Beauty’s Wedding” played May 3-4, in Angels Camp. It was an ambitious mix of classic ballet, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance, featuring original choreography to familiar classical and popular music. There were 28 dancers, all students at Studio 4 School of Dance. The show also featured solo dances like Candace Collum's tribute to her fallen friends Alex and Macaila Marshall....

Angels Camp, CA...The Children's Repertory Theatre put on a great full length production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Bret Harte Theatre. On April 26, 27 and 28th many of our young, local budding thespians took the stage. Snow White and her dwarfs were joined by Queens, witches, maidens, mirrors, forest animals, and many more...

Copperopolis Town Hall A Good Night for County Government |

Copperopolis, CA...On April 24th the Armory was filled with table after table with displays and information from various Calaveras Count Government departments and other agencies and businesses. The evening was hosted by District 4 Supervisor Debbie Ponte and from several attendees we spoke with was well recieved. It provided not only a way for residents to get information about county government and other services it also allowed deparment heads and staff to get a feel for what is on the minds of their constituents and where possible improvements might be made...
