Angels Camp, CA...The community is invited to the last Farmers Market in Angels Camp this Friday October 26th. The Angels Camp Business Association will be providing the entertainment by local favorite Grover Anderson and special guest Eddie Castro on drums and harmonica. Food option will also be hosted by ACBA and will include grilled hotdogs, polish dogs and pulled pork sandwiches. Meals will be served with fresh cole slaw, cookies from Villa Bakery and a drink of choice. Wine and Beer will also be available for purchase and most of the vendors will be set up under the pavilion to take advantage of the lights. ...

Angels Camp, CA...Shortly after 0200 hours, 10/21/12, an Angels Camp Police Department officer was in the parking lot of the police department when he heard a loud motor vehicle collision, near the intersection of state highways 4 and 49. As the officer responded to that location, he observed two vehicles with significant damage driving south on SR 49. He followed the two vehicles, which ended up turning onto Demarest Street and then into the parking lot of Mike’s Pizza where they finally stopped. Both of the vehicles were determined to have been involved in a collision near the previously mentioned intersection...

Rash of Catalytic Converter Thefts ~ By Kelly & Jeff Zahniser

Valley Springs, CA...I was at my sons soccer game this Saturday morning at Toyon Middle School at 10 am. When we got back to our vehicle around 11:30 we started it up and found it to be running pretty rough. We investigated and discovered that our catalytic converters had been stolen.With lots of people around and a busy parking lot brazen thieves went under our 2008 Toyota Tundra and stole both catalytic converters. It looks like they used a pipe cutter to cut them loose. When we contacted the Sheriffs Department the dispatcher told us that there had been 3 other similar thefts in Murphys, Angels Camp, and San Andreas just today alone. All of the vehicles were Toyota Tundras 2003 to 2008 and were parked at soccer games...

Local Graduate hired at Intel Folsom

Angels Camp, CA...Kyle Allan Huey of Angels Camp, a 2008 graduate of Bret Harte High School and a 2012 Graduate of the University of California Santa Cruz, has been hired to work at the Folsom California campus of the Intel Corp. Kyle earned a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science with an emphasis on computer game design while at U.C. Santa Cruz and is a lead programmer for Mu Studios, now developing a game "Microventures" for mobile phone applications. Kyle will be working for Intel as a firmware engineer in microchip development and testing.

Season's First Winter Stom Moving in Sunday Night

Bear Valley, CA...The first significant winter storm of the season will move into our area Sunday night. Between Sunday night and Early Tuesday up to 1/2 inch of rain at lower elevations. Above 5,500 feet 6 - 9 inches of snow and up to a foot at the highest elevations is possible. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are possible over the ridges. The storm warning and special weather statement from the National Weather Service is enclosed...


The graphic above should give you a good indication of weather at the different elevations in the county. It starts at Bear Valley and drops to Arnold, Murphys, Angels Camp and Copperopolis.
