Frogtown, CA...Studio 4 Dance Theatre Ballerinas, Krinkles the Clown, and Mountain Mischief Jugglers perform on Sunday, November 4th at the 15th Annual Soroptimist Teddy Bear Tea! Join us for an authentic Hawaiian feast of mouth-watering pig on a spit, barbeque chicken, tropical chicken salad, red rice, yummy desserts and more. Our no host bar will be serving the best Mai Tai's in the West and other tropical favorites as well as beer and wine. Angels Camp, CA...Between now and Friday, November 5, anyone over the age of 21 can enter the Calaveras Visitor Bureau’s Adventure Land Photo Contest for a chance to win a huge prize valued at $1500. All you have to do is submit your “Best of Calaveras” photo via the contest platform on our Facebook Page. What are we looking for? Photos must depict Calaveras County in a fun and/or positive light. That’s it. Show us how great Calaveras is through your eyes. Finalists will be narrowed down by the Calaveras Visitors Bureau staff. Once finalists are announced, there will be a fan vote on Facebook to determine the winner. Get your friends to vote for your photo to help you win...

Calaveras Community Band Fall Concert at Smart Performing Arts Center on November 4th |

Angels Camp, CA...SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 3:00 p.m. - Calaveras Community Band Fall Concert – The annual fall concert by the Calaveras Community Band will be presented Sunday, November 4 at 3 p.m. in the Dr. Elliot Smart Performing Arts Center at Bret Harte High School, 323 Main St., Angels Camp. It will offer a variety of music including jazz, Latin, paso dobles, and "Seal Lullaby" by the 42-year-old American composer Eric Whitacre. The band, which traces its history to Gold Rush days, will be under the direction of Mic Harper. There is no admission charge but donations to help maintain the band will be gratefully received. Information: 728-9057.
