Angels Camp, CA...Philanthropic Consultant, Paul Stein accepted this generous donation from Mark Luster, Community Relations Manager for Sierra Pacific Industries Foundation. Mr. Luster states, ““At Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) we believe that through our contribution to The Calaveras Community Foundation, we can support the vital role it plays in this community by providing active and positive programs for youth, seniors and other residents of our county.”

Angels Camp, CA...Nona Faye Preuss, 75, of Dixon, died on June 10. She was born Nona Faye Winn on Aug. 9, 1937 in Napa. Mrs. Preuss was a talented vocalist and an avid gardener. She was guided by the principals of her Lutheran upbringing, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends...

We will have approximately 7 kitties of all ages available to meet you this week. If you are closer to Angels Camp, make sure you check out our new Angels Camp Thrift Store Adoption Center, located in Angels Towne Center (240 S. Main St./Hwy 49), also open THURS.–SAT., 10-5. There will be kitties available at both locations!

Angels Camp, CA...Angels Camp will be holding the Second Annual Patriotic Picnic on July 4th in Utica Park honoring men and women who served the United States so bravely. Featuring the US Naval Sea Cadet Band of the West; the picnic will also host games, free hotdogs and family friendly activities. The event is free!
