Angels Camp, CA...Stop by Calaveras Humane Society's NEW Thrift Store Cat Adoption Center in Angels Camp, located in Angels Town Center (240 S. Main St./Hwy 49). Regular hours are Thursday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm. SPECIAL HOURS THIS WEEK: Due to the 4th Of July, the Thrift Store/Adoption Center's hours on Thursday this week will be 11am to 4pm. Regular hours apply on Friday and Saturday. Come on in and check out the new adoption center, meet some cute and cuddly kitties, and browse the new thrift store while you're there. We'd love to see you and so would the kitties!

Traffic Stop Results in Multiple Arrests |

Angels Camp, CA...On 07/01/2013 at approximately 8:40 PM, an Angels Camp Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street near Copello Drive for equipment violations. The Officer identified the four occupants of the vehicle as 30 year old Stockton resident Matthew Rodgers, 22 year old Stockton resident Shawna Ritchie, 45 year old Lodi resident Sherry Hoyle, and 24 year old Lodi resident Elijah Nhy.

Vallecito, CA...The Calaveras County Taxpayers Association will host its annual BBQ on Wednesday, July 24 at Moaning Cavern Park. The keynote speaker will be Jon Coupal, President, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association. HJTA helped pass Prop 218 which allows water ratepayers the power to reject unreasonable rate increases and he filed the lawsuit to stop the illegal California Fire Tax. Also speaking will be Senator George Runner of the Board of Equalization and Lori Norton, our new County CAO...

Angels Camp, CA..Utica Park in Historic Downtown Angels Camp played host to the Sixth Annual Murphys Angels Car Show. This is a great show with a large collection of beautiful rods, customs and more. In addition to the beautiful rolling art there were lots of booths and vendors to keep the crowd fed, hydrated and accessorized. We would like to thank Dr. D. Paar for the great shots below of every entrant. Participating car clubs are listed inside. All proceeds from the show will help the Lions Club's Charitable Efforts...
