San Andreas, CA...The MSTJ Summer Health Career Camps are back for another great year. The first class to attend last week was honored on Friday at a graduation luncheon. The camp is for local juniors and seniors in high school that are interested in pursuing a career in health care. The attendees had a busy week of Job Shadowing in Physical Therapy with Sean Escamilla, Surgical Services with Lynn Gates, Diagnostic Imaging with Joel Jaussaud, In the Lab with Bill Boaz, Infection Control with Mauro Garcia, The Emergency Dept with Johanna Vermeltfoort, Administration with President Feliciano Jiron, Med Surg/ICU with Kassie Waters, At the Valley Springs Clinic with Roy Sheldon and...

Calaveras Sings! CSTARS KIDS! Theater Arts Repertory for Kids, will be holding their quarterly meeting on Wednesday, June 24th at at 12:00 pm at Mike’s Pizza in Angels Camp. The meeting is open to the public. CSTARS is an all inclusive, nonprofit children’s theater company. Our goal is to provide workshops and performance opportunities for children ages 5 to 18....

Angels Camp, CA...The bulk of the Angels Camp City Council meeting on Tuesday afternoon and evening was devoted to efforts to pick new City Council member to fill the vacant Paul Raggio seat. The Council conducted interviews from a very talented field of which any of the applicants would have been very capable of stepping into the breach. Alas it was not to be as the Council deadlocked between Jack Johnson, Rick Downey and Donnie Brooksher. Even their new "Chip" method failed to get them to a clean winner...
