The all-free, all-fun KidZone is returning to the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee for the second year, running Thursday May 13th through Sunday May 16th. Frogtown, CA...Tonight is the big Calaveras Follies program to benefit the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. We stopped by the dress rehearsal last night and were blown away by the quality and hilarity of the performances. Head on out to Frogtown tonight for a special treat for a good cause. We have some great shots from the first half of the program. There is something for everyone in tonight's program...

2nd Annual Tax Day Tea Party Fills Utica Park in Angels Camp~with Complete Video Enclosed

Angels Camp, CA....The Taxpayers Association along with Campaign For Liberty hosted the 2nd Annual Tax Day Tea Party at Utica Park last evening. The park was packed and downtown Angels Camp was lined with cars. The “Tea Party” protest is part of a nationwide movement coordinated with Tea Party Patriots whose mission statement is: “The impetus for the Tea Party movement is excessive government spending and taxation. Their mission is to secure public policy consistent with three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.”....



George & Martha Washington were alive and well at the Tea Party Yesterday. Bill & Cathy Mason have been George & Martha for years at local parades & civic events. Many of the photos in the above slide show were shot with a new Golden State Cellular HTC Hero Android Phone

An Adopt a Pet Is Planned for Saturday April 17th at Starbucks in Angels Camp

Angels Camp, CA.....An Adopt a Pet will be held at Starbucks, Angels Camp, Saturday, April 17 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Dogs and cats in the Calaveras Humane Society will be available for adoption at reduced adoption fees. Raffle, complimentary coffee and information on the new Humane Society Animal Shelter will be available. Starbucks will give a free pound of coffee and drink of your choice with each adoption. City of Angels Camp City Council Has a Busy Week Planned

Angels Camp, CA....The City of Angels Camp City Council will hold several meetings next week. They will meet on Monday April 19th, 21st and 22nd at 11am at the Library at CAMPS to Interview possible candidates for City Administrator. They will also meet Tuesday April 20th starting at 4pm with a Special Presentation by Springbrook Software. They will then call the meeting to order at 5pm and adjourn to Closed Sessions. Full agendas are enclosed...

Angels Camp Police Department Makes Arrests

On April 14, 2010 at approximately 1431 hours, Angels Camp Police officers made a vehicle stop in the 1400 block of Highway 4 for a traffic violation. While speaking with the driver and passenger of the vehicle the officer observed signs of intoxication. After further investigation the driver Martin Bacoccini, 50 of Copperopolis was arrested for driving under the influence and passenger Marcelle Nuttall, 37 of Copperopolis was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.....

Angels Camp, CA...At the Angels Camp Business Association held it's monthly meeting at Camps earlier this week. It was a "Meet the Candidates" Mixer during the social hour before the presentation by Rosie Sundell on Bear Valley Development.
