Columbia Big Band and the Mario Flores Latin Jazz Band coming to Bret Harte! |

| Angels Camp, CA....The Sheron McCarthy Memorial Concert will be held on Saturday, April 17th at 6:30 PM in the Bret Harte Theater. The Columbia Big Band, The Mario Flores Latin Jazz Band, and many of our talented musicians here at Bret Harte will be performing a wide selection of jazz. This concert benefits the Bret Harte Music Boosters scholarship fund, which provides scholarships to students who have made music part of their life while in High School. The Columbia Big Band is led by the engaging saxophonist extraordinaire Rod Harris and will include some of the best musicians in the local area. The Mario Flores Latin ...... |

4-H Holds Annual Cake Contest and Auction! |

Angels Camp, CA....On Monday Night this week, Angelus Ranus 4-H Club held its Annual Cake Contest and Auction at the Mark Twain Elementary School. Club Members baked and decorated cakes and brought them to the meeting where they were sold to the highest bidder. They also voted on their favorite cakes and 4 winners are chosen in each of the categories....

FROZEN YOGURT SOCIAL to benefit Bret Harte Sober Grad Night on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Come support the Bret Harte Union High School Sober Grad Night. Bring your sister, your brother, Mom & Dad, your neighbor, your grandparents and your friends. Scotts Yogurt Factory, located in the Frogtown Shopping Center off Hwy. 49, will be serving up yogurt from 5:00 to 10:00 pm with a percentage of the proceeds to benefit the Bret Harte Grad Night....

Celebrate the sixth annual Calaveras Follies April 17, 2010 at Frogtown with an entirely new show – “The Commencement Performance,” in which local celebrity “students” lip-synch songs about their future. This hilarious collection of snippets from a famous commencement speech assisted by Mark Wilson and directed by Terri Wilson. The Follies begins at 6 p.m. in Mark Twain Hall and consists of more than 20 outrageous acts by well-known community members who are volunteering their time for the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. Included in the evening festivities are draped tables of gourmet appetizers, no-host bar, and a lively raffle of donated items showcased in gift baskets valued at more than $500 each....

As many of you may know the City of Angels under the auspices of the Brand Leadership Team made their presentation to the Council.
