Larita Renee Miller Passed Away at the Age of 61 |

| Angels Camp, CA....Angels Camp native, Larita Renee Miller passed away of Natural Causes on April 16th, 2010. She was 61. Larita was a resident of Atascadero, CA. She previously lived in Tracy for 35 years. She was a Homemaker for 42 years. Larita was delighted to be a Homemaker and loving mother. She graduated from Bret Harte High School in 1967. Born and raised in Altaville, CA and married in St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Angels Camp. Larita is survived by her husband, Nick Miller of Atascadero; A Son, Shane Miller of Stockton; Daughters, Tammra Miller of Atascadero and Tiffany Miller of Tracy; Brothers, Aldi Brogilio of Altaville, Lonnie Broglio of Alataville; A Sister, Shannon Kawcak of Altaville; Grandchildren, Keith, Kaley and Seth Miller of Stockton... |

Angels Camp, CA....The two candidates who are running for Calaveras County Sheriff, Gary Kuntz and Ed Ballard have agreed to a debate. This event will be webcast Live, Wednesday April 21st at 7pm. It is sponsored by ThePineTree.net along with Golden State Cellular and the Calaveras Chamber of Commerce. We will be live-streaming the event for your viewing pleasure. The all-free, all-fun KidZone is returning to the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee for the second year, running Thursday May 13th through Sunday May 16th. Combining arts, education, fun, games and frogs, the KidZone was a hit with last year’s fair attendees, and this year it promises to bring a whole new level of entertainment to the Calaveras County Fair.....

Here is Act 13 from the Calaveras Follies.........The Dancing Queens (or as we call them, our favorite "Frat Boys"), l-r Harry Tittle, Clint Babb and Norm Friborg, from Arnold. They gave a performance which caused a standing ovation and were among the prize winners at the end of the evening! A great event, for a great cause! .....

Frogtown, CA...Tonight is the big Calaveras Follies program to benefit the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. We stopped by the dress rehearsal last night and were blown away by the quality and hilarity of the performances. Head on out to Frogtown tonight for a special treat for a good cause. We have some great shots from the first half of the program. There is something for everyone in tonight's program...

Angels Camp, CA....The Taxpayers Association along with Campaign For Liberty hosted the 2nd Annual Tax Day Tea Party at Utica Park last evening. The park was packed and downtown Angels Camp was lined with cars. The “Tea Party” protest is part of a nationwide movement coordinated with Tea Party Patriots whose mission statement is: “The impetus for the Tea Party movement is excessive government spending and taxation. Their mission is to secure public policy consistent with three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.”....
George & Martha Washington were alive and well at the Tea Party Yesterday. Bill & Cathy Mason have been George & Martha for years at local parades & civic events. Many of the photos in the above slide show were shot with a new Golden State Cellular HTC Hero Android Phone |
