The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) has proposed statewide regulations that will establish new minimum requirements for the siting, permitting, construction, operation, maintenance and performance monitoring of all new and existing onsite wastewater treatment systems (OWTS) including septic tank systems with leach fields. Angels Camp, CA....The City of Angels Camp has two meetings on tap for Tuesday December 2nd. 2008. First there will be a City of Angels Camp City Council Workshop at 1pm. on Water and Wastewater Financial options and opportunities. The City Council will meet again at 6pm. Some of the agenda items being discussed at this meeting will be the 2007/08 Financial Audit; The resignation of Planning Commissioner, Elaine Morris effective 12/31/08; The CCOG will be present to talk about the FY 2009/2010 overall work program and also the the council will select and prioritize work projects to be financed by the CCOG. On December 1, 2008, President and Mrs. Bush marked World AIDS Day 2008 with Pastor Rick Warren at the Newseum and discussed the success of this Administration's global HIV/AIDS initiative. President and Mrs. Bush have made a historic commitment to the fight against global HIV/AIDS. Since 2001, the Administration has delivered more than $148 billion to fight HIV/AIDS both at home and abroad. Once again, this year, the White House will display the red ribbon on the North Portico to represent the continued battle against HIV/AIDS and to affirm the matchless value of every human life......

San Andreas, CA....The Calaveras Council of Governments will hold it's Regular Monthly Board Meeting on Wednesday, December 3rd at 6:30pm. They will be appointing one new Public Member position; A Resolution approving the programming of Federal Transit Administration Section 5311 Project Funds for FY 2008/09; They have also added and addendum to the meeting which will include discussion on the proposed Arnold Rim Trail Cedar Center Bikeway Connection TE Project. Pursuant to Government Code Section 66016, Notice is hereby provided that the San Andreas Sanitary District (“District”) will be considering the establishment of a new capacity charge pursuant to Government Code Section 66013(b)(3). The capacity charge will apply only to new and future users to provide funding to either pay for future capacity.....

Angels Camp, CA.....On April 1st, 2008 Mark Twain Elementary School was awarded a $99,515.00 grant from the California Integrated Waste Management Board. The Board promotes a Zero Waste California in partnership with local government, industry, and the public. This means managing the estimated 92 million tons of waste generated each year by reducing waste whenever possible, promoting the management of all materials to their highest and best use, regulating the handling, processing and disposal of solid waste, and protecting public health and safety and the environment.....

San Andreas, CA.....At the Calaveras County Planning Commission meeting held on Thursday morning, it was voted that the Murphys Creek Estates Project move forward. This was also one of Planning Director, Bob Sellman's, last meetings to preside over as he retiring year end. Full video of the meeting is enclosed.
