Hanoi, Vietnam...Well, thank you very much. I want to begin by thanking the Prime Minister and President of Vietnam. We’re in Hanoi. It’s an incredible city. What’s happened over the last 25 years has been incredible for the people of Vietnam, the job they’ve done — economic development. Really something special. So I want to thank all of the people of Vietnam for having treated us so well.
Gross Domestic Product at 2.9% for 2018 & 2.6% Fourth Quarter (Initial Estimate)

Washington, DC...Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 2.6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2018 (table 1), according to the "initial" estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the third quarter, real GDP increased 3.4 percent.

South Lake Tahoe, CA...“One of the biggest issues we’ve had this winter is illegally parked cars,” said Ray Jarvis, Public Works Director, “They don’t just delay the snow removal process they’re dangerous for everyone involved.” During the last storm, a snow plow operator hit a completely buried car that was parked in the city easement on Cedar Ave. After digging out the driver side, a 48-year old woman was discovered inside the vehicle. She told SLTPD she had been in the car for 4-5 hours. Thankfully she was ok, but the outcome could have been much worse.
Reclamation Announces Initial Water Supply Allocation for Central Valley Project

Sacramento, CA...The Bureau of Reclamation announced the initial 2019 water supply allocation for Central Valley Project water service contractors. This allocation is based on a conservative estimate of the amount of water that will be available for delivery to CVP water users and reflects current reservoir storages, precipitation and snowpack in the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada.
