The Latest COVID-19 Numbers for State of California 2,535 Cases, 66,800 Tests Done, 48,600 Test Results Pending, 53 Deaths

Sacramento, CA....The California Department of Public Health today announced the most recent statistics on COVID-19. California now has 2,535 confirmed cases. The increase in testing numbers reported today largely come from commercial, provider and academic labs that have increased testing capacity and are now reporting that data to the state. The biggest labs included in this count include Quest, LabCorp, Kaiser, University of California and Stanford. Washington, DC... The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service announced that the federal income tax filing due date is automatically extended from April 15, 2020, to July 15, 2020. Taxpayers can also defer federal income tax payments due on April 15, 2020, to July 15, 2020, without penalties and interest, regardless of the amount owed. This deferment applies to all taxpayers, including individuals, trusts and estates, corporations and other non-corporate tax filers as well as those who pay self-employment tax.
