Today, it’s my privilege to award the highest military honor to an American soldier who demonstrated exceptional courage to protect his men and defend our nation. Sacramento, CA...Governor Gavin Newsom today heralded the implementation of Proposition 63 gun-safety reforms. Approved by California voters in 2016, Proposition 63 is a package of provisions to keep guns and ammunition out of the wrong hands, including first-in-the-nation required point-of-sale background checks for the purchase of ammunition.

Washington, DC....The Latest from President Trump on Iran Via Twitter..."China gets 91% of its Oil from the Straight, Japan 62%, & many other countries likewise. So why are we protecting the shipping lanes for other countries (many years) for zero compensation. All of these countries should be protecting their own ships on what has always been a dangerous journey. We don’t even need to be there in that the U.S. has just become (by far) the largest producer of Energy anywhere in the world! The U.S. request for Iran is very simple - No Nuclear Weapons and No Further Sponsoring of Terror!"

WAshington, DC....The latest from the Presidential Fingers on the Fed.."Despite a Federal Reserve that doesn’t know what it is doing - raised rates far too fast (very low inflation, other parts of world slowing, lowering & easing) & did large scale tightening, $50 Billion/month, we are on course to have one of the best Months of June in US history. Think of what it could have been if the Fed had gotten it right. Thousands of points higher on the Dow, and GDP in the 4’s or even 5’s. Now they stick, like a stubborn child, when we need rates cuts, & easing, to make up for what other countries are doing against us. Blew it!"

I often humbly reflect on how God’s providence has guided me to this office, to defend this cause. Washington, DC...Okay, thank you very much. In a few moments, I’ll be signing an executive order imposing hard-hitting sanctions on the Supreme Leader of Iran and the Office of the Supreme Leader of Iran, and many others. Today’s action follows a series of aggressive behaviors by the Iranian regime in recent weeks, including shooting down of U.S. drones. They shot down the drone. It’s — I guess everyone saw that one. And many other things. They’ve done many other things aside from the individual drone. You saw the tankers, and we know of other things that were done also, which were not good and not appropriate.
RCRC Board of Directors Creates Homeowners Insurance Ad Hoc Committee

Sacramento, CA...Earlier this week, the Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) Board of Directors approved a resolution creating an Ad Hoc Committee on Homeowners Insurance (Committee). The Committee is tasked with considering potential solutions for the increase in homeowners insurance cancelations and non-renewals in high fire risk areas.
Washington, DC...This week, the House passed H.R. 3055, a bundle of appropriations bills referred to as a “minibus,” that includes several amendments on cannabis banking and other cannabis- related issues. Last week the House Appropriations Committee approved the financial services appropriations bill for Fiscal 2020 that contains the SAFE Banking Act of 2019 (SAFE Act). If enacted, the SAFE Act would allow banks to provide marijuana-related businesses with financial services without the threat of prosecution for violating a myriad of federal banking and anti-racketeering laws.

This will fix the Southern Border, together with the help that Mexico is now giving us. Probably won’t happen, but worth a try. Two weeks and big Deportation begins!"
