Sacramento, CA...Governor Gavin Newsom today unveiled six key indicators that will guide California’s thinking for when and how to modify the stay-at-home and other orders during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Governor noted that the progress in flattening the curve, increased preparedness of our health care delivery system and the effects of other COVID-19 interventions have yielded positive results. However, these actions have also impacted the economy, poverty and overall health care in California. Any consideration of modifying the stay-at-home order must be done using a gradual, science-based and data-driven framework.

Sacramento, CA...Governor Gavin Newsom announced a new program to provide doctors, nurses and other critical front-line health care workers access to no-cost or low-cost hotel rooms. The program will prioritize health care workers who come in direct contact with or are suspected of having direct contact with COVID-19 patients, or who test positive for COVID-19 but do not require hospitalization. By providing hotel rooms in close proximity to medical facilities, health care workers can avoid potentially spreading the virus once leaving their shift by selecting to stay in one of the pre-identified hotels across the state.

Copperopolis, CA...Beginning on April 13, 2020 a bridge construction project will commence on Singletree Drive at Little Johns Creek in Copperopolis. This project will convert the existing low water crossing to a bridge structure. The road has been closed since the low water crossing was washed out in 2004.
