Manbig, Syria...Two U.S. servicemembers, one Department of Defense (DoD) civilian and one contractor supporting DoD were killed and three servicemembers were injured while conducting a local engagement in Manbij, Syria, Jan. 16, 2019. Alex Azar, II, et al. The preliminary injunction blocks the Trump Administration’s attempt to deny millions of women and their families access to cost-free birth control guaranteed by the Affordable Care Act by allowing employers to interfere with their healthcare decisions.
Caltrans Announces New Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Goal

Sacramento, CA...Caltrans has announced that the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) approved a significantly increased Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Annual Overall Participation Goal of 17.6% on federally funded transportation projects in California, a 5.1% increase over the previous goal. “This is great news for Caltrans and the numerous partners we work with daily,” said Caltrans Director Laurie Berman , “DBE contractors, consultants, truckers, suppliers and others interested in benefitting from increased contracting opportunities will now have more opportunity to do so, right here in California.”
