Posted by: thepinetree on 09/13/2018 07:46 PM
Sacramento, CA...To help reduce collisions, Caltrans and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife remind motorists to be on the lookout during Watch Out for Wildlife Week, which runs Sept. 16 – 22. “With every project we build, we look for innovative ways to protect drivers and wildlife,” said Caltrans Director Laurie Berman. “That can be as simple as installing flashing warning signs or putting in specialized fencing and crossings to provide wildlife with safe passages. Drivers can make a difference too, just by staying alert.”

President Trump at Flight 93 September 11 Memorial Service

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/11/2018 02:02 PM
Shanksville, PA...Thank you very much. Thank you very much, Ryan. So beautiful. We’re gathered together on these hallowed grounds to honor the memory of nearly 3,000 souls who were murdered on this day 17 years ago. We’re here to pay solemn tribute to the 40 passengers and crewmembers on Flight 93 who rose up, defied the enemy, took control of their destiny, and changed the course of history. Today, we mourn their loss. We share their story. And we commemorate their incredible valor. On September 11th, 2001, a band of brave patriots turned the tide on our nation’s enemies, and joined the immortal ranks of American heroes.

Champaign, IL...Barack Obama was at The University of Illinois to receive their Ethics In Government Award. "Hello, Illinois! I-L-L! I-L-L! Okay, okay. Just checking to see if you’re awake. Please have a seat, everybody. It is good to be home. It’s good to see corn, beans. I was trying to explain to somebody as we were flying in, that’s corn. That’s beans. The Kavanaugh Confirmation Hearing Continues

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/06/2018 10:30 AM
Washington, DC....The Kavanaugh Confirmation Hearing Continues. The hearing has taken some wild twists and turns.
It has had partisanship, protests and even at time some markedly detailed and erudite legal arguments across the political spectrum. It has even turned Federalist Papers references into a legal nerd drinking game of sorts.
