Trump and Prime Minister Abe Shinzo, confirm and welcome final agreement on the United States-Japan Trade Agreement and the United States-Japan Digital Trade Agreement. We share the desire that these agreements will be signed at the earliest possible date and enter into force in the very near future, following the completion of our respective domestic procedures.

We lead in venture capital and green tech,” said Governor Newsom. “Five to one — five to one, the number of clean energy jobs in the State of California versus fossil fuel jobs. Which makes then the paradigm of this notion of alternative energy flip on its head. Alternative energy in the State of California is fossil fuel energy.”

It’s been really incredible what’s been taking place. And he’s been a fantastic host to a lot of countries. The meetings I had on a bilat, or close, were pretty staggering. I think we set a new record, but you’ll have to check that out. The — we met very, very — for pretty extended periods of time, either two and two, one on one, or just about at that level with Pakistan, Poland, New Zealand, Singapore, Egypt, South Korea, United Kingdom, India, Iraq, Argentina, Germany, Brazil, France, Japan, Ukraine, Honduras, El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, UAE, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Other than that, we weren’t too busy over the last three days.

Lake Alpine, CA...The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close State Route 4 beginning Tuesday, September 24, 2019, to Wednesday, September 25, 2019, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each day for road work. The full closure will be in effect over Ebbetts Pass from the east end of Lake Alpine (gate #2) to Raymond Meadows Creek (closure gate #3- just east of the Silver Creek Campground). Lake Alpine is open and accessible. There is no local detour available.

Sacramento, CA....California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, as part of a bipartisan coalition of 21 state attorneys general, urged Congress to pass the Strengthening the Tenth Amendment through Entrusting States (STATES) Act of 2019 or similar measures that would allow legal cannabis-related businesses to access the banking system. The STATES Act would bring billions of dollars of existing cash transactions into the regulated banking sector, subject them to oversight, and reduce the risk of both violent and white-collar crime affecting the growing cannabis industry.
