City of Angels Camp City Council to Meet on Tuesday Eve...."Live" Streaming at 6pm....Replay Video Up Later |

Angels Camp, CA....Meeting Recap....The meeting was adjourned at 7pm. It was a light meeting. The City Council approved approximately $4200 for an audit of the TOT Program. There were comments from the public that this may be an unnecessary expense. It was however brought forward, that the TOT program contributes over $700,000 to the City's budget. All of the items passed on the agenda.. The REPLAY will be up later tonight. We are "Live" Streaming the Angels Camp City Council Meeting starting at 6pm. Enjoy.....The Angels Camp City Council will meet Tuesday eve at 5pm. They will start off the evening with a City Council Workshop regarding the North Angels Trunkline with an update from City Engineer. The regular meeting will follow at 6pm. The Transient Occupancy Tax(TOT) is back on the agenda this week as they approve an agreement to conduct an audit of the transient occupancy tax payments from local motels, cottages, B&B's and other transient occupancy tax generators. The Arnold Mobility Plan being adopted by the Calaveras Council of Governments on Wednesday, July 2nd at 6:30pm. As you all know, this has been a year long process of looking at the State Route 4 corridor through Arnold. We have 31 potential projects listed in the document and look forward to taking the next steps. Next steps include submitting the document to the Planning Commission for review and recommendation to the Board of Supervisors for adoption and inclusion in the Environmental Analysis for the General Plan update....

San Andreas, CA...The Lake Tulloch item packed the gallery for today's meeting. Even New10 from Sacramento was here for the festivities. There was a couple of hours of back and forth from both side of this issue. Some of the property owners had numerous stories about overcrowded vacation rentals clogging the the tightly packed neighborhoods in the Poker Flat area with people, boats & SUVs. They would like to see short term rentals banned from their area. An even larger number of citizens testified at the meeting about the vital nature of the vacation rental business to our local economy. Testifying were not only real estate and property professionals from the Copperopolis area but Don Fry, Doug Shinn, Dan Sieder, Anna Gutierrez and others from around the county weighed in on the topic.... They will be having their Annual election of Chair and Vice Chair to serve for the 2008/09 Fiscal Year; A Public Hearing to discuss Visitor Accomodation uses in Single Family residential zoning districts; Large Format retail draft developement guidelines commission discussion on the Joint City Council/Planning Commission workshop that was held on June 3rd; There will also be a presentation to Roger Neuman upon his retirement from the Planning Commission. San Andreas, CA....Our Board of Supervisors will be meeting Tuesday morning for their weekly meeting at 9am. Some of the agenda items being discussed will be a Minute Order accepting bid and authorizing purchase of a 2008 Ford for Public Works; A Minute Order authorizing the CDA to issue a refund in the amount of $10,220 to Randy and Sammye Lacy for outside consulting fees that are no longer needed; Lake Tulloch is back on the agenda for discussion and possible action use of residential dwelling units for transient occupancy (short-term rentals). Copper Cove Wastewater Treatment Plant is on the agenda; CCWD will be submitting a pre-application for USDA funding for a water Distribution System for XX Subdivision in Copperopolis; They will also have a closed Session to discuss real property at 20 Sandy Gulch Road in Wilseyville. Sonora, CA...The Forest Service today announced that three Stanislaus National Forest (NF) employees and two Tuolumne County community leaders have been selected to receive the prestigious national Windows On The Past Award. The five are being recognized for outstanding leadership in organizing the well-attended “Home on the Range” cultural history event held last September at the historic, 1870’s era Fahey Cow Camp, located on the Forest’s Mi-Wok Ranger District.....
