Calaveras Public Health Reports 23 New Cases of COVID-19 in Calaveras County - Community-Based Testing Sites Offer No-Cost Testing, Vaccine Rollout Continues to Move Forward

San Andreas, CA... On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, Calaveras Public Health confirmed 23 additional cases of COVID-19 in Calaveras County. To date, Calaveras Public Health reports a total of 945 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those cases, 879 cases have since recovered while 44 cases remain active. There have been a total of 22 confirmed deaths related to
COVID-19 reported in Calaveras County.
Amador County, CA... Amador County Public Health reports one hundred and two new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total laboratory confirmed case count to 1,315, and 2 additional deaths since last Tuesday’s update. The individuals who passed were 2 males, 1 in their 60s and another in their 80s. The new cases include 51 males and 51 females, 8 children under the age of 18, 58 aged 18-49, 22 aged 50-64, 14 over 65 years of age; 23 residing in Ione, 36 living in Jackson, 10 living in Pine Grove, 11 in Pioneer, 7 in Plymouth/surrounding areas, 14 residing in Sutter Creek/Amador City, and 1 in Volcano. Seventeen cases, including Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP) inmates, are currently hospitalized.

I want to call to your immediate attention the action to be taken tomorrow morning, when Majority Leader Hoyer will request Unanimous Consent to bring up the Raskin resolution. This resolution calls on the Vice President to convene and mobilize the Cabinet to activate the 25th Amendment to declare the President incapable of executing the duties of his office, after which the Vice President would immediately exercise powers as acting President. San Andreas, CA...On Friday, January 8, 2021, Calaveras Public Health confirmed 24 additional cases of COVID-19 in Calaveras County. To date, Calaveras Public Health reports a total of 922 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those cases, 869 cases have since recovered while 31 cases remain active. There have been a total of 22 confirmed deaths related to COVID-19 reported in Calaveras County.
