Angels Camp, Calif. 2/24/2012 In keeping with the tradition, country sounds will be heard on the hillside at the 2012 Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee. Love and Theft will hit the main stage on Saturday, May 19 at 8:00 p.m. The duo has been climbing the charts with hits like “Angels Eyes”. They will be joining the ranks of country greats who have performed at Frogtown, such as Buck Owens, Bellamy Brothers, Pam Tillis, Dirks Bently and Rascal Flats...

Frogtown, USA...The Fairgrounds has a great volunteer opportunity for a family or group. We are looking for someone to adopt the following areas:
Lawn and little garden outside of the tower pavilion., Cattlemen’s park area, Front lawn ( the garden club will be assisting with some of flower beds). If this something you are interested, please give the fairgrounds a call. I want to thank-you in advance for your consideration...

Frogtown, USA...The Fair has a unique opportunity to part of a TV series on the travel channel. They are creating a show about people who compete for blue ribbons at County Fairs. This would be awesome for the Calaveras County Fair. Please pass this information on to anyone you think might be interested in answering the casting call...

February 4, 2012 Calaveras County Fairgrounds (aka Frogtown) Angels Camp, CA...Saturday night it seemed the whole population of Calaveras County turned out for the annual Calaveras County Junior Livestock Boosters dinner and dance. The boys in the cookin' room started smoking meat early, as a huge crowd was expected to come with both their families and their appetites....

The program seeks versatile young women who are intelligent, articulate, charming, talented, sincere and healthy in mind and body with warm, outgoing personalities. Frogtown, USA...Since there is no pressing business to conduct, the regular Board meeting scheduled for Wednesday, December 21, 2011 is canceled. The January meeting will be held on January 18, 2012 at 6 pm at Camps Restaurant. Two items of interest on the agenda will be (1) nominations for two vacant Board positions and (2) a discussion about the RFP for the Alcohol Concession at the Fairgrounds.
