Angels Camp, CA....The weekly Fresh Fridays Farmers Market in Angels Camp has added two new additions to their veggies, fruit, flowers, and fun. The two new venders include: Aria Bakery in Murphys and The Main Street Cafe in Angels Camp. The farmers market is a first for both of these business's looking for expansion and to share their unique flavors with our local community. Aria Bakery has a wide variety of specialty baked goods including: pies, muffins, cookies, bread and much more....

Valley Springs, CA....On Friday, June 20th at 4:30 pm, the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce will have a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Frog Unveiling at the Valley Springs Chamber of Commerce office in the Terrace at the corner of Vista Del Lago and Highway 26. This fun event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend. Frogtown, CA...The Class of 2008 Painted Frogs of Calaveras County were unveiled to a packed house at the Frogeteria.. A special Chamber Welcoming Reception was held Friday Night to honor the amphibians, their sponsors and artists. This year's crop is spectacular and features the work of some great local artists. This was a celebration of Frogs, Painted Frogs and the Jumping Frog Jubilee. One piece even featured a stunning glass & pottery mosaic covering the Frog Sponsored By Iwata Eye Care. When you are at the fair this year make sure to check out the Great Frogs.....

Chamber of Commerce & Enterprise Candidates Night for District 4 Packs the House!

Murphys, CA....Native Sons Hall of Murphys was the place to be tonight for the Supervisor Candidates District 4 Night. The Hall was packed with community members trying to decide who they want representing them in their District. Present were Tom Tryon, Lee Seaton, Sarah Lunsford and Ron Klass. This event event was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Calaveras Enterprise. Each Candidate was asked questions by Moderator, Buzz Eggleston, Editor of the Calaveras Enterprise. The audience also participated in questions for the hopeful candidates. The evening started at 6:30pm and ran until about 8:30pm. The next Candidates Night will be held on Wednesday May 7th at 6:30pm at San Andreas Town Hall for District I Supervisor. Present will be Zerrall McDaniel, Gary Toffanelli and Kathy Mazzaferro. As we get closer to election day the candidates are starting to define their positions in clearer terms. We will be posting some excerpt clips of some of the sharper exchanges in a separate piece. Copperopolis, CA....A large crowd showed up this morning for the Ribbon Cuttings of several new businesses that are officially opening their doors today in the new Copperopolis Town Square. Supervisor Russ Thomas started things off with a great rendition of America The Beautiful and Castle & Cook's Dave Haley introduced the business owners and laid out plans for the new center. They include a specialty grocery store, wine tasting, several restaurants, a coffee and wine bar that will open soon, a Shell gas station & car wash, MTSJ is opening a complete 14,000 sq ft. medical clinic, Two Hotels and many more specialty retail...

Valley Springs, CA...Hwy 26 now has it's very own Calaveras County Ore Cart. This is the latest in the continued efforts of the Chamber of Commerce to mark every entrance into the county with a Beautiful and Iconic Ore Cart. The cart which was built by Angels Sheet Metal and dropped into place yesterday morning still needs to have the finishing touches put in place but all of the "Heavy Lifting" has been done.
