Please Help Keith & Linda Thomason Recover From Accident |

Angels Camp, CA...Keith and Linda Thomason were injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday, July 30 outside of Winnemucca, NV while traveling to Sturgis. Their motorcycle got a flat tire as did the small trailer that they were pulling as they came into a reduced speed construction zone on I-80. Keith felt the tire getting flat and the bike starting to shake and slowed down as much he could, but unfortunately he didn't enough time. The flat tires caused the bike and trailer to overturn throwing both Keith and Linda off the bike. They were taken by ambulance to Humbolt General Hospital in Winnemucca....

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) announces it has successfully recruited Dr. Andrea Greenfeld to the Arnold and Angels Camp Medical Centers, where she will practice Internal Medicine and Pediatrics for the Tri-County area. “Dr. Greenfeld has a strong and impressive medical background that encompasses her commitment to her professional and community activities,” said Craig Marks, Hospital President. “She will serve both the Arnold and Angels Camp community and beyond very well.” Dr. Greenfeld earned her Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. Murphys, CA....At August's "First Friday" Sierra Hills Market catered the event and Plan B had em on their feet and dancing in Murphys Community Park. The events have become another of our local summer traditions that are helped along by the Murphys Community Club. In September Chains Required, a 10-piece rhythm and blues band based in Sonora, will be the featured band when this year’s final First Fridays in the Park event, put on by the Murphys Community Club, is staged September 5, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the cool confines of Murphys Community Park....

If coming in costume, you must register in costume but you need not stomp in costume. Costumes are judged on originality, workmanship, etc. Last year, besides partaking of the usual great food, wine, great live and silent auction, and kid's activities, Stomp goers witnessed another fierce competition between teams vying for the title of the Calaveras Grape Stomp Champion. The results are weighed and heat winners and wildcard teams advance to the championship rounds. The Winery Stomp will be held at 11:00. This is your chance to see Wineries compete for the President's Trophy. It's a great day for the family. At the same time the Calaveras Grape Stomp is on, the Gold Rush Street Faire is happening, with over 100 quality vendors of all sorts stretching from one end of Main Street to the other.
