Murphys, CA....Please join us for a pint Thursday, February 20, as we feature the "3 Jacks" from Firestone Walker Brewing Company: Union Jack IPA, Double Jack IPA, and Wookey Jack Black IPA. A very knowledgeable representative from Firestone will be here. Free logo pint glass with the purchase of your first pint of any of these three beers.Like most IPA's these pair well with spicy food, such as our Calamari, Nachos, and Sweet Potato Fries. In addition, Chef Jason will prepare a VERY spicy special, if you are so inclined. The kegs will be tapped at 4:00 and served until approximately 8:00.

Hathaway Pines, CA....Mike Borean has formally announced he is running as a Candidate for Calaveras County Supervisor, District 3. I was raised in Calaveras County and have lived here most of my life. My wife and I chose to raise our five children here. Having lived in Arnold, Hathaway Pines, and Murphys, I have a deep understanding of our area, its treasures and our challenges. I believe that I have the ideas, skills, experience, and the energy needed to meet our challenges. If elected, I have many goals that I will work towards. These goals include Promote smart growth. Emphasize excellent customer service at the county level.m Encourage business investment by soliciting and encouraging businesses to relocate to Calaveras County, and by removing bureaucratic obstacles to business investment. Maintain the quality of life. This is a great place to live and raise a family. We need to change our economic environment while maintaining our rural charm....

Murphys, CA...Here is a photo book of a pretty major room addition we did last summer. We added a spare room with a root/wine cellar underneath. The dig for the cellar proved to be a bit of a challenge, but we had a little fun with it in this book. Enjoy!

Murphys, CA....On February 12, 2014 Joan Blair, a member of Forest Meadows Women’s Golf Club, shot a Hole-In-One on hole number 7 at Forest Meadows Golf Resort. Joan is a long-time golfer, and this is her first Hole-In-One. Our congratulations to her!
