Arnold, CA...Remainder Of Today Rain. Highs 49 to 64 higher elevations...56 to 71 lower elevations. Prevailing south winds 5 to 15 mph with gusts to around 35 mph...except southwest 25 to 40 mph over ridges. Tonight Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain showers. Snow showers possible over the highest terrain. Colder. Lows 33 to 48 higher elevations...42 to 57 lower elevations. Prevailing south winds up to 10 mph with gusts to around 25 mph...except southwest 15 to 30 mph with gusts to around 45 mph over ridges....

Hathaway Pines, CA...Mike Borean, who finished third in the June primary election, has endorsed front-runner Merita Callaway in her bid to be re-elected Calaveras County District 3 Supervisor. The election is November 4. “I have always respected Merita for her accomplishments as a County Supervisor and for the amount of time and energy she spends representing the residents of District 3,” said Borean. “I am particularly appreciative that Merita took the ‘high ground’ during the campaign. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all who supported my campaign and to those who voted for me. We are now faced with a clear choice in November. I strongly urge all those who supported my campaign to vote for Merita.”
