Murphys, CA....Rosemarie met the love of her life, George Mason, when she lived in Murphys in 1991. They moved down to Tracy and married in 1993. Upon their retirement in 1998 they moved back to Murphys, the place she loved to live. They enjoyed traveling and their very comfortable life here in the Motherlode. Entertaining was her favorite passion. She also loved cooking, decorating, and crafts. Known as Granny by her grandchildren, they were her most precious and adored gifts......

Murphys, CA...Once again Ironstone Vineyards pulled off a fabulous evening under the stars with country music stars LeAnn Rimes and Willie Nelson serenading a packed amphitheater. Young and old alike flooded into the Ironstone Amphitheater for a chance to listen to the talented LeAnn and the legendary Willie. The music that Willie plays crosses generational divides and embraces music lovers of all genres. Douglas Flat, CA...A 67 year old Arnold man was driving his pickup Eastbound lane at an unknown rate of speed. Murphys, CA...On September 14th between 4pm and 7pm Yogurt Your Way on Main Street in Murphys will hold a fundraiser to help abandoned animals in Calaveras County. There will be a raffle prize donated by Judith Papais. Owner Jenny Baxter is donating 50% of the proceeds generated at the event to the CHS. It’s a wonderful opportunity to feel really good about eating a large yogurt piled high with your choice of scrumptious toppings...

Vallecito, CA...Sydney Prest, 55, Sustained major injuries when she was riding her bicycle and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by a Vallecito man. The accident occurred at 6:46pm last night as she was traveling westbound on the north shoulder of Hwy 4, when the driver of a 1989 Jaguar who was temporarily blinded by sunlight made contact with her. She was lifeflighted to Memorial Hospital in Modesto with major injuries. The CHP release is enclosed...
