Murphys, CA...Dr. Andrea Sullivan specializes in keeping her patients feeling and looking younger than their years. Her motto is "Act Old Later" and has recently even started using non-invasive techniques for improving the looks and texture of the skin of her patients. This when combined with the Pharmanex BioPhotonic Scanner to ensure adequate useful vitamin and nutrition levels can be powerful tools to keep you at full speed. We recorded a video last week with her in her office I was the test subject where she treated half my face to show the efficacy of the treatments. Ironstone Concours d' Elegance 2012. 1903 & 1933 Cadillacs Take Best of Show!!

Murphys, CA...The 2012 Ironstone Concours d' Elegance is in the books. The beautiful 1903 Cadillac A Rear Entrance Tonneau owned by Turlock's Tom Watling took Best of Show honors in the over 100 year old category. Best of Show for the younger vehicles went to the National Auto Museum's 1933 Cadillac V16 Fleetwood Convertible once owned by Al Jolsen. One spectacular unrestored car deserves special mention. The winner in the Unrestored Category was a 1948 Oldsmobile Sedan with under 8,000 original miles and near flawless condition. Original paint and the owner even has the original tires in storage. Lawrence Camuso from San Jose should be justifiably proud of this exquisite auto....

Reserve your team and celebrate one of the most anticipated events in the region, drawing large, loud crowds and scores of stomp teams, many festooned in original costume. Last year, besides partaking of the usual great food, wine, great silent auction, and kid's activities, Stomp goers witnessed another fierce competition between teams vying for the title of the Calaveras Grape Stomp Champion. Stomp Teams are composed of two persons, one inside a half barrel filled with 25 pounds of grapes, another outside the barrel reaching in to ensure a smooth flow of juice out the drain spot. It's a sticky business for all concerned. All this fun for only $50 per team...

Murphys, CA...The Murphys area continues to climb the ranks of destination wine tasting regions in California. One recent addition is the Villa Vallecito Vineyards Tasting Room in the Arbors on the southern part of Main Street. There visitors can savor their estate grown and produced wines. Murphys, CA...Michelle Plotnik is the winner of this year's Murphys Community Park Raffle! For the past several years, Sierra Nevada Adventure Co. has donated a kayak to the Murphys Community Club to raise funds to assist with the maintenance of the Murphys Community Park. The MCC and SNAC Arnold & Murphys sell raffle tickets from Irish Days through all the First Fridays in the Park with the winner being drawn at the last event in the season....
