Murphys, Ca...Mind Matters, a nonprofit clinic in Murphys, is seeking an individual to assist us in community collaboration, marketing, fundraising and public outreach. Experience in marketing, grant writing, networking and social media desired. A passion for service is a must. Part time position. Salary DOE. Muprhys, CA....Well you know Murphys is a cool place is even the Boys from ZZ Top and Jeff Beck ventured out and about to enjoy it's charms. They were posing for pics, venturing out for coffee, having drinks a local watering holes and visiting local businesses like Murphys Motorcycle Company below. So if even folks who have literately been everywhere and seen almost everything find the charming burg of Murphys worth a look....well that's high praise indeed....

Angels Camp, CA....ZZ Top headlines at Ironstone tonight, but Drummer Frank Beard is a bit of a golf fanatic and arrived in town early to enjoy a round at Greenhorn Creek yesterday. Greenhorn Creek is running a contest on their facebook site for a pair of tickets that was generously provided by the famous visitor. Frank is known to be a scratch golfer, and often participates in tournaments and community events in his hometown of Richmond, Texas where he owns and operated the Top 40 Ranch. The trio of Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard was founded in the late sixties and have been playing together ever since. Prior to ZZ Top, Frank and Dusty had been musical partners for years. Both were members of the two Dallas based groups - The Warlocks then The American Blues. Frank joined ZZ Top in 1969. Two months later, a new bass player was needed for the band. It was at that time that Frank called his longtime friend Dusty Hill to audition. The rest is musical history....

Please Help Keith & Linda Thomason Recover From Accident |

Angels Camp, CA...Keith and Linda Thomason were injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday, July 30 outside of Winnemucca, NV while traveling to Sturgis. Their motorcycle got a flat tire as did the small trailer that they were pulling as they came into a reduced speed construction zone on I-80. Keith felt the tire getting flat and the bike starting to shake and slowed down as much he could, but unfortunately he didn't enough time. The flat tires caused the bike and trailer to overturn throwing both Keith and Linda off the bike. They were taken by ambulance to Humbolt General Hospital in Winnemucca....
