June's First Friday in the Park was Packed with Fun |

Murphys, Ca...This year's First Fridays in the Park at Murphys Community Park kicked off with quite the jam on June 13th, 2014. With dinner and live music, the park was packed full of people of all ages. Bill Welles, on guitar, presented his "Roots of Americana" program, and had everyone dancing, smiling, or tapping their feet along with the music. Val du Vino winery catered the event and provided quite the spread, along with a few of their local wines. A fun event for all ages, it was a fantastic way to spend a Friday evening.

Murphys, Ca...July 10th we invite you to join us for Wines of the World- Major Regions of France with Lindsay Gwin. Lindsay Gwin, of 4th Sip Distribution, will take us on a tour of the major regions of France. Corks will be popping on imported bottles from all over the country. If you have been to any of our tastings when Lindsay was a host then you know how dynamic she is; you will not want to miss this one. She has access as a wine distributor to exclusive imports that you won’t find in wine shops. Please RSVP at 209-728-9467 to pay over the phone. Reservations are required, and seating is extremely limited, no tickets will be sold at the door. Deadline is July 7th. Wines of the World is an integral part of the wine associations educational program. Cost for CWA members is $35 and $40 for non members. The Historic Murphys Hotel hosts us in the Mark Twain Ballroom from 5:30 to 7pm.

Murphys, CA....Last night the summer season in our humble little county officially got underway in a big way. From now on venue after venue will be filled with event after event to keep you entertained all the way past labor day and beyond. The sign below and the crowd shots tell the tale of last night. At Frogtown Reggae Fest Continues and Tonight Brice Station, Twisted Oak and more have concerts if you happened to miss Lady A last night and are in need of some musical stimulation. In Columbia the Father's Day Fly-In is underway at the airport. Enjoy everyone....
