Construction Schedule For Hwy 4 Paving Project In Calaveras County |

Arnold & Murphys, CA....Scheduled construction work for the Week of October 20-24: Monday (October 20), the contractor will be paving intersections and driveways throughout the 22-mile project; Tuesday through Friday (October 21-24), the contractor will be working on intersections, shoulders and striping throughout the project. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on State Route 4 from Main Street/Douglas Flat to Meko Drive for paving. Work is scheduled to begin Monday, October 20, 2014, through Friday, October 24, 2014, from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Crews will be working from Forest Meadows Drive to Lakemont Drive and Country Club Drive to Meko Drive throughout the week.
Most Of Hwy 4 From Douglas Flat to Camp Connell Now Wears A Spiffy New Layer Of Black. So We Should Have Smooth Riding For The Next Few Years. The Video Above Is On The Utica Grade A Few Weeks Ago |

| Arnold, CA...I want to share some key thoughts about the Supervisor race for District 3. I urge all voters to stand behind Supervisor Merita Callaway and give her a strong mandate of approval for the future. We have lived in Calaveras County for 34 years. I'm a real estate broker and have been in real estate for 30 years. Whenever an issue came up that affected our County, town, or real estate in general, I was always able to contact Merita and get her help. A good case in point was the speed limit increases that Caltrans made which had a negative impact on our downtown. Merita became involved and worked directly with Caltrans and the Highway Patrol to make the needed changes.... |

Murphys, CA...Just a reminder that we have our fundraising event at Rob's Place in Murphys tonight from 6pm to 9pm, come support your theatre group in raising funds for our spring production. We still have not decided on the production yet due to limited funds so every penny counts. Most rights for a great musical run aroound $1,400.00 so we have a ways to reach that by January and with you coming tonight will make a huge difference. Hope to see all of you there tonight to support your group...
