Taco-Murphy Is Lost! Have You Seen Her? (Taco-Murphys Is Home)

Posted by: thepinetree on 07/05/2015 02:33 PM
Murphys, CA...Our little Taco-Murphy is lost! Please help us bring her home. She is a 3 year old "Chiweenie" (Chihuahua/Dachsund mix) and weighs 14 pounds. We had her with us in the parking lot of Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys, CA on the 4th of July. We made the decision to bring her with us because we thought she would rather be scared and with her family than scared and alone - something we are very much regretting now, as she bolted out of our arms when a particularly loud firework went off.

San Andreas, CA...Last night the San Andreas Town Hall was filled with a good sized crowd that weighed in on the now almost decade long General Plan update process. The Draft Plan was released on December 18, 2014. During the following 90 review and comment period there were over 400 comment letters submitted totalling over 1000 pages for review. The planning commission is scheduled to start the detailed review process July 9th. Planning Director, Peter Mauer at the start of last night's meeting gave an update on the process. One of the biggest items items of contention during the Draft Plan comment phase was on the inclusion of the Community Plans in the General Plan. Chuck Hovey's Medical Recovery Fund ~Kyle Hovey

Posted by: thepinetree on 07/01/2015 09:57 AM
Murphys, CA...On June 25th at around 4:15 PM my father suffered a severe stroke that disabled the left side of his body and required his admission to the UC Davis medical center in the Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit where he currently resides. We were incredibly fortunate to have been there for him, and we got him to the hospital within three hours of the event so that he could be administered life-saving medicine. Unfortunately, this did not do as much as the doctors had hoped and his condition worsened. The right lobe of his brain had continued to swell, and I had to give the go-ahead for a craniectomy. This is an operation that allows for pressure to be relieved in his head, but left my father without one side of his skull.
