Service to Arnold begins in March. Saturdays in Murphys - Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Murphys are available at no charge (donations gratefully accepted) on Saturday mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum. High Water Flow Conditions In Murphys Creek Below Murphys Afterbay |

Murphys, CA...There is a high flow condition in Murphys Creek below the Murphys Afterbay. There is approximately 125 cubic feet per second immediately below the afterbay and the flow increases downstream as small tributaries converge with the creek. Flows will likely continue to increase as the rain continues. There is no dam failure and no immediate emergency, but people should stay a safe distance from the creek and residents along the creek should monitor the creek level in relation to their homes.

Murphys, CA...The 21st annual Presidents’ Day Wine Weekend sponsored by the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance (CWA) will take place Saturday February 18th and Sunday February 19th. Presidents’ Wine Weekend is an opportunity for wine lovers to taste their way thru Calaveras County by purchasing a $25 commemorative glass and visiting over 22 participating wineries and tasting rooms while enjoying free limited-tasting flights of numerous award winning wines and exciting varietals offered by the best of Calaveras County’s wine community. Full tastings will be available in each tasting room for an additional fee with many participating wineries and tasting rooms offering live music, light bites and food samples as well as special offers on wine purchases.

Murphys, CA...As additional flows were released from the Murphys Forebay it returned flooding to the Murphys Community Park area. It looks like duck races should not be scheduled for today. We would like to thank Terri Stickles Strunck for letting us share a few of her photos...
