Murphys, CA...Celebrate our nation’s Independence Day with an old-fashioned Independence Day concert by the Calaveras Community Band in beautiful Murphys Park on Algiers Street, Monday, July 3rd at 6:30 PM. The Band will play patriotic favorites, marches, swing and popular tunes from the past under the baton of conductor Mic Harper.

In addition to their upbeat original sets Poor Man’s Whiskey have developed special late night “tribute sets” with their original bluegrass/americana twists which include “Dark Side of the Moonshine” (bluegrass interpretation of the classic Pink Floyd album) , “Graceland” (tribute to the classic Paul Simon album), “Old and In the Way”, “Tribute to Allman Brothers Band”, and “Tribute to Kate Wolf”. Temporary Closure of the Red Hill Transfer Station (Yard Waste Site) |

Vallecito, CA...Effective June 30, 2017, the Red Hill Transfer Station Yard Waste Site (Annex) will be temporarily unable to accept green waste . The closure will remain in effect through Monday July 3, 2017. During this weekend closure, household trash will continue to be accepted at the Red Hill Transfer Station. The Transfer station will also continue to accept appliances and electronics. The Annex will be open to accept tires, batteries, oil, antifreeze, filters and latex paints. These items will also be accepted at the Rock Creek Landfill.
