The SNAC Family Thanks You for Shopping & Renting Locally!

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/17/2019 10:13 AM
Arnold, Murphys & Sonora, CA...The SNAC Family Thanks You for Shopping Locally! Back in the early 90’s, when Shawn was selling out of the back of his truck as “The Eddy Mart”, the most important items to have on hand were life jackets, river shorts, sandals and river knives. Oh yes, and a few things the rafting customers would want, t-shirts, hats, sunscreen, etc. It became obvious that The Eddy Mart was getting too big to operate out of a garage when the whitewater kayaks came. It was time for a storefront. That’s when providence arrived on the scene.

Road Conditions Update....Hwy 88 & Hwy 4 Currently Closed Before Resorts

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/16/2019 08:21 AM
Arnold, CA...Hwy 88 is still closed at the Carson Spur before Kirkwood and in something we haven't seen in 13 years of ThePineTree.net's history a closure of Hwy 4 for an extended period of time before Bear Valley. It is minute to minute on reopening time and click our weather page for the latest. At this time is still closed in the Big Meadow area due with a listed cause of flooding. Very tough way economically for our area to start Presidents Day Weekend...details are below.

PG&E Crews Keeping the Grid Alive in Challenging Conditions...1,639 Dark this Morning

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/15/2019 09:09 AM
Arnold, CA...The PG&E crews have been out in force and working in just basically brutal conditions and they are keeping current flowing. As of this morning there are 1,639 without power. The total number or outages is about the same as previous days however there are no large blocks of outages over 500 per outage. Just lots and lots of individual outages and smaller blocks of outages than we have seen in this wave or storms.
