Arnold, CA...National Weather Service Forecast for: West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada. Today: Partly cloudy early in the morning then clearing. Highs 39 to 54 higher elevations...51 to 63 lower elevations. Prevailing southwest winds up to 20 mph, gusts up to 25 mph increasing to 35 mph in the afternoon. Over ridges, prevailing southwest winds 30 to 40 mph decreasing to 20 to 35 mph. Tonight: Cloudy. At lower elevations, rain showers likely in the evening, then rain and snow showers likely after midnight. At higher elevations, a chance of rain and snow showers in the evening, then snow showers after midnight. Much colder. Lows 14 to 29 higher elevations...28 to 36 lower elevations. Snow accumulation up to 1 inch lower elevations...except 1 to 6 inches higher elevations. Snow level 5500 feet decreasing to 4000 feet after midnight. Prevailing southwest winds 5 to 15 mph shifting to the northwest after midnight. Gusts up to 30 mph. Over ridges...prevailing southwest winds 15 to 30 mph.

Jamestown, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept..."On Tuesday just after 5 pm, deputies responded to a residence on Sixth Avenue in Jamestown for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival deputies learned an altercation started between two teen juveniles over one owing the other $5.00. The altercation became physical and ended with one juvenile stabbing the other juvenile in the torso with a pocket knife.

Columbia Man Arrested on DUI, Resisting Arrest & Parole Violations

Sonora, CA...26-year-old Brandon J. Silva of Columbia was arrested today for multiple charges, which included DUI, resisting arrest, and violating felony parole. At around 8:15 this morning, the Police Department received a call from a witness who saw a man flee the scene of a collision that occurred on Dodge Street near Washington Street. The witness provided a description of the driver and his last known direction of travel. The responding officer arrived within minutes and located Silva nearby, who matched the given description. When the officer attempted to detain Silva, he was physically non-compliant with her, but she was ultimately able to take him into custody.

Columbia Woman Arrested After Traffic Stop

Sonora, CA...39-year-old Teresa M. Abreo of Columbia was arrested Saturday night for multiple charges, which included being a felon in possession of a firearm. Just after 9:00 pm on Saturday, Officer Brickley conducted a traffic stop on a silver Kia Forte for registration violations. The driver, Teresa Abreo, was determined to be on Tuolumne County probation, and during a search of the vehicle, the officer located a loaded .22 caliber Derringer pistol. Abreo had previous felony convictions that prohibited her from possessing firearms in California.
