Tuolumne County, CA....Emergency crews are responding to a motorcycle down at Parrotts Ferry Road and Hudson Road in the Columbia area. More to follow as needed. Please travel with caution in the area.... Update as of 3:21pm...This will be a major injury accident.

Deceased Women Found in Field Behind Wal-Mart Identified |

Sonora, CA...The body discovered in a field off the side of Hwy 108 on the 7th of August have been identified as that of Marlo Sue Chadwick of Jamestown according to the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Dept. Though foul play is not suspected, a cause of death has not been established at this time and is still under investigation. |

Sonora, CA...Yesterday at about noon, Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call regarding a dead body in a field south of Hwy 108 behind Wal Mart. The reporting party had been in the area using a metal detector to find old coins when they discovered the body. Due to the amount of decomposition, dental records will be required to make and identification. There is no evidence of foul play at this time. |

Mountain Liquors of Twain Harte Robbed Early Saturday Morning |

Twain Harte, CA...At around 4:10 a.m. Saturday morning, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Mountain Liquors in Twain Harte regarding a burglary alarm. The glass door at the front of the business had been smashed causing approximately $1000.00 in damage. The suspects took alcohol and cigarettes. A review of surveillance video showed three suspects wearing disguises and using rocks to break the glass and enter the business. Information regarding the suspects and a possible suspect .... |

Carlon Falls Trailhead Temporarily Closed |

Sonora, Calif. (August 5, 2011)…The Forest Service announced today that the Carlon Falls Trailhead on the Groveland Ranger District, Stanislaus National Forest, will be closed temporarily between August 5, 2011 through January of 2012 while bridge work is being completed by Tuolumne County crews on the Evergreen Road Bridge over the South Fork of the Tuolumne River....

Tuolumne County, CA...On 07/11/11 the Sheriff’s Office took a burglary report at the vacant restaurant at Yosemite Junction. The back door had been pried open and an air conditioner and a compressor had been stolen. Two days ago, suspects were seen disconnecting a large air conditioner from its place on the roof of the same building. Yesterday at around 7:20 p.m. Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call regarding two males attempting to remove the air conditioner. Dispatch received a second call from the ..... |
