Footlight Theatre Company Presents: Footlight Murders

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/31/2014 02:46 AM
Columbia, CA...Footlight Theatre Company will begin its new monthly series in Columbia State Park just in time for Valentine’s Day! This February 15th “Footlight Murders” presents a miner’s tale of love… and of a solid gold, heart shaped nugget of death!! In 1864, a cobbler from Columbia named Kicker Goodman saw business fall off as gold became harder to find. The poor man was forced to go to work in the Cruel Springs Mine just to support his young fiancé. When a heart shaped gold nugget was pulled from the main vein of the mine, Mr. Goodman made a poor choice. In a crime of passion Kicker stole the nugget and planned to run away with his true love to live happily ever after…  Nobody can truly say what happened at the Goodman cabin that fateful day when Sheriff Ellerbe went to investigate, but when authorities went to the house later on sheriff Ellerbe, Kicker Goodman and his sweetheart were all found dead and the stolen nugget was nowhere to be found. Thought to be lost forever, the nugget became legend, and the legend begot a curse – that anyone who should find it, touch it or possess it – would die! Over the years the story was forgotten like the gold rush and nobody ever gave it a thought… until three weeks ago!

Collective Patient Resources Announces Tuolumne Chapter

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/29/2014 10:08 AM
Sonora, CA...Collective Patient Resources is proud to announce the formation of CPR Tuolumne. Long time Tuolumne resident Eli Velderhuesen has volunteered to spearhead our new chapter, and will serve as the Primary Patient Services Coordinator in Tuolumne County. The impetus behind the formation of Tuolumne CPR is the recent attempt by Tuolumne County officials to regulate medical marijuana through the municipal code. A large number of county residents feel that the proposed regulations are too restrictive, and have come together in an attempt to encourage compromise. The large number of community participants warranted the establishment of a new CPR chapter....

Fake Yellow Book Billings in Area

Posted by: John_Hamilton on 01/28/2014 12:10 PM
Sonora, CA.... Some businesses have been receiving what appears to be a legitimate bill/statement from a company called YELLOW BOOK. This is not associated with the real company which spells their name Yellowbook. The statement uses a Myrtle Beach, SC address and the phone numbers listed are not good. Another giveaway that the bill is not legit, it uses the fingers walking through a book on the top right corner, which is a registered trade mark of another company....
