Fire Update...Woodpile/Structure Fire in Jamestown

Jamestown, CA...Crews are on scene of a woodpile/structure fire on Fallen Leaf Drive near Greenwood. Initial reports are that the fire started in a woodpile and then caught at least some of a structure on fire. Crews were trying to make access to the attic. PG&E was initially called to the scene but later canceled which is a good sign that the damage was not extensive...

Death Investigation at Tuolumne County Jail

Sonora, CA...On 1/7/2014 about 11:59 p.m. a Tuolumne County Deputy was doing a safety check of the J Housing Unit. The Deputy looked into the cell occupied by fifty six year old Robert Haire IV. As the Deputy looked thru the window in the door to the cell she saw Mr. Haire slumped against the wall. Mr Haire was the only person housed in this cell and he was the only person in the locked cell. The Deputy called for additional Deputies the door was opened and they saw that Mr. Haire was unresponsive , and not breathing. Mr. Haire had a bed sheet wrapped around his neck. Deputies were able to free him from the sheet and began CPR. An ambulance was called ambulance personnel arrived on scene about 00:10 a.m. Mr. Haire could not be revived and all resuscitation efforts were stopped approximately 00:25 a.m. Mr. Haire was last seen alive in his cell about 10:43 p.m. hours by Deputies.

Attempted Murder Charges for Tuolumne County Man

Sierra Village, CA....On 1/4/114 about 9:40 P.M. Law Enforcement and Fire Medical Personnel were dispatched to the Sierra Village Mobile Park in Sierra Village on a report of a person with a head injury. Upon arrival found the forty six year old victim suffering from a laceration to the rear of his head, bruising to his shoulder area, a cut on his elbow and he was complaining of pain to his upper body and neck....

Good Work By Law Enforcement & Home Owner Leads to Burglary Arrest

Sonora, CA...On 1/3/14 about 8:30 A.M. a resident of an address on Caleb Court in the Lambert Lakes sub-division, arrived home after grocery shopping. As she entered the home she interrupted the suspect burglarizing her home. The suspect, a white male, fled the residence carrying a bag and items from the residence. The suspect entered a vehicle near the residence and fled the scene. The victim was able to give a detailed description of the suspect, his vehicle, and the bag that was stolen from the residence. Tuolumne County Sheriff Deputies initiated an investigation and had a, be on the lookout, for the vehicle and suspect broadcast to all Law Enforcement Agencies in Tuolumne County....

Domestic Violence Arrest in Sonora

Sonora, CA...On 1/2/14 Robert Haire IV was arrested for assaulting the victim. Deputies responded to a residence in the Chuckar Circle area on a report of domestic violence. When the Deputies arrived they found the victim with visible injuries, the victim was transported to SRMC for medical treatment. During the course of the investigation it was determined that the suspect, Robert Haire allegedly kept the victim from leaving the residence for approximately eight hours and assaulted the victim several times during that time period. He also made threats to harm the victim in the future...

Dismembered Stockton Murder Victim Being Burned in Campfire As Arrest is Made

Groveland, CA...On January 2, 2014, Officers received information of a possible homicide at a residence in the 4500 block of Mist Trail Drive. Officers responded to the residence and found the tenants had moved out. Officers checked the residence and found evidence of a bloody crime scene, but no body. Detectives responded and determined that a homicide must have occurred at the residence. Detectives then developed information a possible suspect may be in Tuolumne County. Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office assisted and located the suspect at a campsite in Groveland. Stockton Police Detectives responded to the campsite and located a human torso in a campfire where the suspect was detained...

Assault With Deadly Weapon Charges For Intoxicated San Jose Man

Groveland, CA....On Monday, 12/30/13, about 1130 P.M. Deputies were dispatched to the Evergreen Lodge on a report of a stabbing. A Law Enforcement Warden from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife was the first to arrive and witnesses pointed out the suspect, 23 year old, Rogelio Quintero. He detained Quintero until the arrival of Tuolumne County Deputies....
