Cold Springs, CA...PG&E is reporting almost 600 Customers in the Cold Springs area without power. Weather is the stated cause and crews are working to restore power.

Arnold, CA...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of snow accumulations of 1 to 3 feet expected with up to 6 feet at the higher mountain peaks. 2 to 8 inches of snow down to 4500 feet. Winds gusting as high as 85 mph.

Arnold, CA...The grid seems to be holding up moderately well. There are however several hundred PG&E Customers in the dark at this time. In the Arnold area around Big Trees State Park, Up Hwy 4 in the Skyhigh & Tamarack areas, Groveland has two separate moderate scale outages, between Sutter Creek and Pine Grove in Amador electrons are still and a few more spots.

Sonora, CA...Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors approved Ordinance Code Chapter 8.70 related to Fire and Life Safety Inspections for Short-Term rentals in the unincorporated areas of Tuolumne County. To keep all Tuolumne County residents and visitors safer, effective January 19, 2024, it is unlawful to maintain, operate, or use a short-term rental in the unincorporated areas of Tuolumne County without a Tuolumne County Fire Department (TCFD) Fire and Life Safety Inspection.

89 Year Old Sonora Man Loses His Life in Tuolumne Road Collision |

Sonora, CA...On January 26, 2024, at approximately 4:10 pm, an 89-year-old male driver of Sonora was driving a 1992 Toyota pickup southbound on Black Oak Road, while stopped for the stop sign at the intersection with Tuolumne Road. At that same time, 67-year-old Janice Greengo of Jamestown was driving a 2006 GMC Envoy westbound on Tuolumne Road, approaching the intersection with Black Oak Road, at approximately 45 MPH. The driver of the Toyota failed to yield the right-of-way to Ms. Greengo and entered the intersection, directly into the path of the GMC.
