Long Barn, CA...Emergency Crews are responding to a solo vehicle collision at Hwy 108 and Long Barn Road. Possible pin in. Update 12:17pm, Front axle is off of embankment into a tree. They are checking for injuries now. Air ambulance has been ordered. Update 12:31: One patient is being transported via air ambulance. Patient is conscious and alert according to medics on scene. Please travel with caution in the area. Updated with CHP Release enclosed....

Sonora, CA...Two people suffered injuries in a motor vehicle accident on Phoenix Lake Road. A Twain Harte 26 year old male was mediflighted to a Modesto hospital with a broken leg. A 21 year old Stockton woman suffered minor injuries. CHP report is enclosed....

Sacramento and Sonora, California; July 14, 2010: The Board of Directors for the California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) has just elected Larry Cope, Director of Economic Development of the Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority (TCEDA) to serve a full term (3 years) on the CALED board. This means that Larry Cope will work with a statewide network of economic development experts to build healthy communities by helping them expand, retain, and attract new businesses to their areas and California.

Yosemite National Park, CA...The General Public is Invited to Attend Special Ceremony Celebrating Quarter Release. On July 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., the general public is invited to attend a special ceremony to celebrate the launch of the new Yosemite Quarter. This historic special event will take place in front of the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center and the public is highly encouraged to participate in the festivities. There will be live music, special guest speakers, and children under the age of 18 at the event will receive a free Yosemite Quarter to commemorate this special day. There is no charge to attend the event. A specially designed cake featuring the Yosemite Quarter will be served to all participants attending the event.....

Sonora, CA....“The Hottest Little Fair in California is a Gold Country Keepsake” The Mother Lode Fair begins Friday July 9th through Sunday July 11th. The Mother Lode Fair is located in the beautiful foothill town of Sonora on historic State Route 49. The Fair began in 1889 as the Tuolumne County Fair & Horse Show, then reinvented itself in 1938 as the Mother Lode Fair. The Fair today is situated on 25 acres, edged with lawns and bordered with a year-round creek. Two hundred trees add scenic value to this garden setting, making the fairgrounds an event destination to an estimated 274,000 visitors throughout the year. The Mother Lode Fair provides our community event programming and a facility that enhances the quality of life in Tuolumne County. This year's fair features returning favorites such as the demolition derby, carnival, vendors, live entertainment and more. This year's entertainment headliner is Lee Rocker, co-founder of The Stray Cats....

Tuolumne County, CA....CAL Fire states the cause of the vegetation fire that burned 3.5 acres at Hwy 49, 3 miles south of Hwy 120, is under investigation. Crews were on scene for over 7 hours. CAL Fire report enclosed....
