58 Year Old Sonora Woman Missing...(Happy Ending...She Has Been Located)

Sonora, CA...Last seen leaving home on Columbia Way in Sonora that she shares with her daughter around 3:30PM to 4 PM. A neighbor reported seeing her walking down the road towards Sonora High School and that she looked confused. Patricia does not have a cell phone or any means of contact. Please share this and help us locate Patricia. If you see her please call the Sheriff's Office at 533-5815.

San Joaquin County Pair Arrested On Drug & Other Charges At Black Oak

Tuolumne, CA...Last night on 04/12/2016 at around 11:19 PM, Deputy Speer and Deputy Sandelin contacted a man and a woman at Black Oak Casino after seeing drug use paraphernalia in a parked 2004 gray Chevrolet Malibu. An ounce and a half of methamphetamine, drug use paraphernalia, and reported stolen property were located during a search of the vehicle.

Columbia, CA...Columbia State Historic Park will present “Diggins Tent Town 1852”, their annual living history event this coming May 19th through May 22nd. Sponsored by Friends of Columbia and Columbia State Historic Park and depicted by over 150 costumed volunteers, visitors can experience the events and environment of an 1850’s mining camp that is re-created in detail from the clothing, food and entertainment.

This emotionally charged, 2-day program, is an event designed to dramatically instill teenagers with the potentially dangerous consequences of drinking alcohol and texting while driving. This powerful program will challenge students to think about drinking, texting while driving, personal safety, and the responsibility of making mature decisions when lives are involved.

Sonora Man Arrested After Twitter Threat To Sonora High Students

Sonora, CA...On 9 April 2016, at approx. 7:22 pm, three students from Sonora High School came to the police department to report a possible planned school shooting. The students related Elijah Perez, 20 of Sonora, was making threats about carrying out a school shooting and threatening to kill three specific students. The students showed officers Twitter messages Perez had sent. The Twitter messages were all centered on Perez carrying out a school shooting, plus targeting three students. In his messages, Perez referenced being on the news for killing students, and going to prison for the shooting.

Columbia College Community Chorus Concerts are April 23 and 24

Columbia, CA...The Columbia College Community Chorus, conducted by Dr. Daryl Hollinger, will perform its annual Spring concert in the sanctuary of St. Matthew Lutheran Church on Saturday evening, April 23rd, at 7:30 p.m., and again on Sunday afternoon, April 24th, at 3:00 p.m. The first half of this varied spring program features three of Dr. Hollinger's original Psalm settings and the famous Mass in G by Franz Schubert for chorus, soprano, tenor and bass soloists with chamber orchestra. After a short intermission, the 43-member chorus will perform a lively group of well-known choruses from stage and opera: The popular Va, pensiero, from Verdi’s Nabucco, choruses from Borodin’s Prince Igor, Gounod’s Faust, and Verdi’s Il Travatore. A choral medley from Fiddler on the Roof and an audience sing-along from The Sound of Music are also on the program. A special treat will be three songs from Shakespeare's plays set by jazz great George Shearing.
