Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Dept..."We need your help locating 38-year-old Timothy Joel Burton. He has warrants for his arrest which include charges of willful cruelty to a child, felon in possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, driving while suspended, displaying false registration, and leading law enforcement on a vehicle pursuit.

Sonora High School’s Homecoming Parade Starting Soon On Hwy 49 |

Sonora, CA...Sonora High School’s Homecoming Parade will take place October 13th. Washington Street (SR 49) will be closed to all traffic between Snell Street and Church Street from approx. 2:15 pm to 3:00 pm. In addition, School Street will be closed from approx. 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm for parade staging purposes.

Man Continues to Refuse to Leave Apartment in Jamestown |

Jamestown, CA...From the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Dept..."Update at 12:15 PM: There have been no changes. We are communicating with the man in hopes of getting him to exit the building and reach a peaceful resolution. Update at 9:40 AM: The man is still refusing to come out of his apartment. The building the man is barricaded in has been evacuated. The scene is safe at this time and we are continuing to work on a peaceful resolution. Sheriff's Deputies are on scene at the Oak Hills Apartment complex on Preston Lane in Jamestown with a barricaded subject following a call into the Sheriff's Office regarding a disturbance. Please avoid the area."

Toyota Tacoma vs Parked Dodge Durango sends One to Hospital |

Sonora, CA...On October 11, 2017, at approximately 9:15 am, Logen Foster was driving a Toyota Tacoma, eastbound on Mono Way, east of State Route 108, in the #2(right) lane. A 2001 Dodge Durango was legally parked along the right shoulder, south of the roadway edge of eastbound Mono Way. Foster allowed his vehicle to drift off to the right and subsequently the right front of the Toyota Tacoma struck the left rear of the Dodge Durango. The Durango was pushed onto the sidewalk and the Tacoma overturned, coming to rest on its roof in the #2 lane of eastbound Mono Way.

Hwy 108 Head On Collision Injures Modesto Pair |

Sonora, CA...This collision occurred as 55 year old Modesto resident, Mr. Tresenriter, was driving his 2007 Toyota Camry westbound on SR-108 west of Mono Way. At this time, 32 year old Mountain View resident, Mr. Rapozo, was driving his 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound on SR-108, approaching Mr. Tresenriter. Mr. Tresenriter, mistaking the oncoming traffic lane as a passing lane, allowed his Camry to cross the center line of the road. Mr. Tresenriter immediately realized the mistake he had made and abruptly swerved his Camry back into the westbound traffic lane where he lost control of the vehicle.

Major Injuries to Twain Harte Woman in Tuolumne Road Hit & Run |

Twain Harte, CA...Ms. Porta was traveling southbound on Tuolumne Road North in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. An unknown dark colored pickup truck was traveling northbound ahead of Ms. Porta. For an undetermined reason, the trailer being pulled by the dark colored pickup truck swung into the southbound lane and collided with the Jeep driven by Ms. Porta. Following the collision, the dark colored truck fled the scene. A witness indicated that the truck returned to the scene shortly after the collision and then fled again.
