Jamestown, CA...Last Wednesday, the Manteca Police Department asked for our assistance locating a stolen 2000 Chevrolet Suburban. They had information the vehicle was possibly headed to Chicken Ranch Casino in Jamestown.

Expired Registration Leads to Drugs Being Sniffed Out by K9 Beau. |

Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept...."Monday morning, Deputy Poel conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a 2002 gray Ford Ranger for expired registration. He deployed his partner, K9 Beau, who alerted to the presence of narcotics in the truck. Methamphetamine, packaging, prescription pills, and a hypodermic needle were found during a search of the truck.

Sonora, CA...The Sheriff’s Office received interesting call Saturday morning. 34-year-old William Castner was reportedly yelling while waving a machete around as he walked near the corner of Main St and Red Hills Rd in Chinese Camp. Castner then took a man’s motorcycle helmet and smashed it on the ground until it broke.

Sacramento, CA...Heavy Snow Possible Over The Mountains Thursday through Friday. A cold Pacific storm system is forecast to move through the interior of Northern California on Thursday and Thursday night, with snow showers continuing through the day on Friday. Snow levels will lower rapidly with this storm, dropping to around 4000 feet Thursday night, and hovering between 3000 and 4000 feet Friday. In addition, gusty winds during the storm may bring poor visibilities.

Bentonville, Ark....Today, Walmart announced plans to increase the starting wage rate for all hourly associates in the U.S. to $11, expand maternity and parental leave benefits and provide a one-time cash bonus for eligible associates of up to $1,000. The company is also creating a new benefit to assist associates with adoption expenses. The combined wage and benefit changes will benefit the company’s more than one million U.S. hourly associates.

Stolen Truck Abandoned Still Dirty In Jamestown Carwash |

Jamestown, CA...Early this morning, our deputies responded to Chip's Chevron in Jamestown for a report of a white Toyota truck abandoned in the carwash.
When deputies arrived, they found evidence of a plan that went awry. An attempt to rip the carwash cash machine out of the ground by using a large chain attached to the bumper of the truck had failed.

Sonora, CA....The Sonora Police Department is asking for the public's assistance regarding thefts of street signs in the area of Hope Ln. in the City of Sonora. The total value of the stolen signs has made it grand theft, a felony in the State of California. Any tips or investigative leads would be greatly appreciated. The department would also like to remind drivers to use due caution as road conditions vary with intentional thefts such as these.
