Sender's Market Weekly Ad & Grocery Specials Through July 23 |
Posted by: thepinetree on 07/18/2019 07:27 AM

Mountain Ranch, CA...Sender's Market Weekly Ad & Grocery Specials Through July 23. In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we're still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Whether you've got questions about the perfect cut of meat or the right kind of paint, our helpful, knowledgeable staff has you covered.

The 2019 Calaveras High School Graduation Video, Photos & Program |
Posted by: thepinetree on 06/07/2019 02:00 PM
|
San Andreas, CA...An impressive group of 178 young adults received their diplomas last evening and are now marching into their futures. Calaveras Unified is different from the other school districts in the area in that they operate all the schools in the northern section of the county. Many of the Calaveras High School students have been together from kindergarten all the way through high school. Their bonds are strong and in most cases life long. They changed the layout of the graduation ceremony to use all the seating in the stadium. It made the program run smoother from an operational perspective. From a photo perspective the old format was much better however as it was not possible last night to get straight on group shots. Each image below will go to a full sized image when clicked. Congratulations Graduates!!

Angels Camp, CA...Katherine Sharp, a 17 year old graduate from Connecting Waters Charter School. Katherine has grown up in Mountain Ranch and she loves serving as Vice President in her local 4H club and riding horses. In the fall, she plans on attending UCLA to pursue a degree in neuroscience. It was an interesting evening as the weather drove the contest inside to the Mark Twain Hall. So instead of main outdoor stage with plenty of seating for spectators & family members it became a standing room only affair. The call as made at the last minute as every chance was given to Mother Nature to change her ways.
Lots and Lots of Additional Photos Below..
