Sender's Market's Weekly Ad & Grocery Specials Through March 24th

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/22/2020 09:56 AM
Mountain Ranch, CA...In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we're still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Whether you've got questions about the perfect cut of meat or the right kind of paint, our helpful, knowledgeable staff has you covered.

CCWD Reminder to Only Flush Toilet Paper To Help Keep Wastewater Operators Safe

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/19/2020 02:17 PM
San Andreas, CA...CCWD would like to remind everyone that, other than human waste, toilet paper is the only acceptable flushable item. Paper towels, sanitary wipes, swiffers, etc., can damage wastewater infrastructure and require operators to work in close proximity to raw sewage. COVID‐19 can be present in wastewater, so it is particularly important during this outbreak that we minimize exposure for wastewater operators.

Calaveras High School to present “Oklahoma!” March 13 - 15!

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/10/2020 09:07 PM
San Andreas, CA...Calaveras High School Performing Arts is proud to present its Spring 2020 musical, Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” Onstage at the Calaveras High School Performing Arts Center in San Andreas for one weekend only, performances are March 13 at 7:00, March 14 at 2:00 and 7:00, and March 15 at 2:00. In a Western territory just after the turn of the 20th century, a high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys provides a colorful background for Curly (Zachary Zahniser), a charming cowboy, and Laurey (Amaya Halepota and Madeleine Hedger, alternate performances), a feisty farm girl, to play out their love story. Their romantic journey, as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road, contrasts with the comic exploits of brazen Ado Annie (J'Cie Garrett) and hapless Will Parker (Nate DeYarmon) in a musical adventure embracing hope, determination and the promise of a new land.
