Posted by: John_Hamilton on 07/06/2012 08:25 AM
(Valley Springs, CA) On 07/03/12 at 4:05 PM Calaveras Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on the 700 block of Quail Oaks Drive in Valley Springs for a welfare check on Richard Pierce (59) of Valley Springs. While the deputy was speaking with him Suspect Pierce yelled that he was going to kill the deputy that was trying to help him. The summer season is in full swing which means ho days and sometimes hot, uncomfortable nights, as well. So you probably have your air conditioner cranked up to beat the summer heat. But in a time when energy conservation is so important, a lot of families are looking for ways to cut back on their energy usage and their electric bill. Some may opt for all brand new energy efficient appliances, while some may choose to give solar a try. Solar panels are a super efficient way to save energy and money. By harnessing the sun's energy, you can take yourself off the grid and get the electric company out of your wallet. ...

Calaveras Humane Society Bids Farewell to President Seiler

Posted by: John_Hamilton on 06/25/2012 09:57 AM
San Andreas, Calif. – After serving his promised, one-year term as president of the Calaveras Humane Society, Bob Seiler is moving on and moving away. The 21-year Arnold resident recently sold his home as part of his family’s long-term, personal goals and will be moving to Placer County, Calif. “Our long range plan has been to downsize and move to a less remote area, now that we are retired and empty nesters,” said Seiler. “We decided to put our home on the market, thinking that it would take at least the summer to sell. We were shocked that it sold in just about a week and that we’ll be moving in early July.”...

Bob in the CHS Van in Last Year's Arnold Parade...He is Instructing a Safe Driving With Pets Class :). The Seiler Family will be missed and for many years their company SG Marketing was one of the largest employers in the Arnold area. Thanks for everything you did for Calaveras County!!!

Give Dad the Gift of a Man Cave Remodel This Father's Day!~by Sandy Reed of Uniquity Builders

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 06/15/2012 08:20 AM
Father's Day is this Sunday and like moms on Mother's Day, dad's just want a day to relax and not worry about household chores. A day to kick back, throw back a few beers and watch a ball game. But if the T.V. in the living room is usually overrun with kid shows, Dad might be stuck watching iCarly rather than baseball. What Dad needs is a space where he can go to chill, watch his game and hang out with friends without fighting the kids and Mom for the remote. What Dad needs is a Man Cave!! ....
