Teddy Bear Clinic Opens Young Eyes To Healthcare Field ~By John Hamilton

San Andreas, CA...Every year Mark Twain Medical Center opens it's doors to the area's future Doctors and Nursers for a Teddy Bear Picnic. This year 475 kindergarteners from across the county visited the Medical Center in late October. In addition to Doctors, Nurses and staff at MTMC they invite paramedics, fire fighters and others involved emergency as well as normal healthcare. On the day we stopped by the CHP Helicopter was on hand to provide information on their operations which include at times air medical transport. CHP Pilot Jim Hendrix did a great job fielding questions from his young audience. We have a few photos of the event below and a short video of the CHP Helicopter coming in to land....

Calaveras County, CA...Enclosed are the Calaveas County Sheriff's logs for October 27 - November 5th, 2014. Some highlights: Occurred on Hwy 12, Burson. Rp calling regarding neighbor walking up to rp's residence making statements he would do whatever he had to to keep people off his property, friend coming to rp's residence went toward subjects residence probably what caused issue, rp has also noticed subject having suspicious containers moving around the property, subject making statements about having cameras in the sky. Occurred on Black Oak Dr, Arnold. Rp has a neighbor whose wife is "5050" crazy, wife made allegations that
there is something sexual going on between rp and her and that he was threatening to kill her husband...

Election 2014...From Spring Til' Fall It Was A Friends & Frenemies Road Show

Arnold, CA...As we say goodbye (Thankfully) to the election season of 2014 we thought we would post a few photos from some events held all over the county as a look back. Some of these had not made their way to the site yet. We also would like to thank all who threw their hat in the arena to strive for or get re-elected to public office. It is easy to throw stones from the sidelines but all of the contestants had the stones to actually join the fray. Thank You to all!! To those that came up short in the vote count the timeless quote from Theodore Roosevelt is right on the mark. “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

San Andreas, CA...We just checked in with the elections office in San Andreas and they have approximately 2,200 provisionals & vote by mail or absentee ballots that were turned in or dropped off at polling places yesterday yet to process. They are working on them as fast as they can and if past is prologue they usually try to have them done by Friday of election week....
